And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Saul is a clumsy and over exuberant little one who has made it his mission to aid Ragnarosa and Ragnarok with the eggs and hatchlings. He may often muck up the most basic of tasks, but he never allows it to dampen his spirits, and the hatchlings seem to find it hilarious. While he may be hyperactive, he is always serious when it comes to the welfare of his charges and attempts to defend them from any threat.
