It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Yuwaku, like all of her kind, is female by pre-destination. Despite this, she is a bit of a tomboy, and relates more easily to the males of different species than the females. Among her favorite activities is wrestling with other dragons. Whether its in the mud of the Summer showers, or the leaves of the Autumn trees, rough housing is always an enjoyable activity for this beautiful dragon.

Despite her high-spirited nature she takes the most joy in caring for and babysitting other dragons' eggs. She often dreams of having children of her own someday, but, until then, contents herself with the pleasure of helping to raise other young dragons when their parents are away. Many dragons consider her a part of their family because of her kindly, maternal nature. Indeed, she is one of the most caring dragons you will ever find.
