Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. This hatchling seems to be filled with a fell, inner flame.

And look! Its wings have grown, and it’s become bigger, more aggressive, and much hotter.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Fiona is vicious and mean, especially for a hatchling. She even tries to boss around the adult male Hellfire wyverns, but usually they will not tolerate it from her due to her age. Fiona's attitude is brusque and rude, and she doesn't like playing with any hatchlings bigger than herself for fear of not being the strongest. It's not uncommon to see Fiona flying around the cave during the day, searching for someone to boss around.
