Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Clocks is extremely old, even by dragon standards, and he has amassed much wisdom throughout his lifetime; he occasionally deigns to share some of this wisdom with young dragons that visit him in his cave, but he spends the majority of his time alone. He is usually either in deep thought or using his powers to perform "goodwill" acts when needed (such as causing safe avalanches to stabilize dangerous mountain regions). When he's not doing that, he can usually be found with his mate Alique (a vine dragon), helping her to raise one of their dragon brood. He enjoys this quiet family life and is actually sometimes more involved in caring for the baby dragons than Alique is. For some reason, Clocks is very protective of Alique and she is the only creature with whom he regularly communicates.
