Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

This thin and neglected little creature makes his home in the kitchen of a mansion that was once prosperous and brilliant but is now decayed and, according to some, haunted. Frightened of the new dark state of his residence, but even more frightened of the outside world, he opted to stay in his gloomy prison and fend with predatory mice rather then venture into the wild and has lived such a sad life for many long years.

This miserable existence was changed, however, when one day a young girl and her faithful pygmy came snooping around the mansion. At first frightened of the newcomer, he attempted to hide--and thought he'd succeeded, too, until he felt himself yanked out of his den sometime later. Despite his initial terror, he soon found the girl to be the kindest friend rather than a foe, and she brought him home to her cheery cave once the mansion's mystery had been solved. He has become close friends with many other cheeses there, and has lived happily ever since.
