Mint colored dragons are the most peaceful of all dragons; they only eat plants unless they scavenge meat from an already dead animal. They also have no ways to attack others or defend themselves. They are much smaller than other forms of dragons since they only double in size when they mature. Mint dragons are unable to use magic and cannot fly since they lack wings. Their looks have given rise to the common insult of calling dragons “large lizards.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Beek is a very timid dragon, fleeing and hiding from those he doesn't know. Beek is highly intelligent and capable of processing and storing information like a supercomputer. Beek is the one the other dragons go to when they want to know something. He is very weak and near defenseless, however, and relies heavily on the protection of the other dragons. <br/>He hides behind Thomas whenever Thomas is on the ground, preferring her company because she's usually quite nice to him. The two have very intelligent conversations—and arguments—that none of the other dragons can really understand.<br/>Beek enjoys debating with Thomas. It's one of his few joys, considering his near crippling shyness. He also gets along with the other dragons, but he's terrified to death of Ambient, Specula, and Bloodlily, as they had all tried to eat him, at one point or another. Beek does NOT appreciate almost being eaten, and has a LONG memory...He NEVER forgets...
