Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Born as a normal dragon,

Midnight Golden Green,

snatched from the abandoned pile,

he was healthy, it had seemed,

But as he grew older,

as he matured,

he often wondered what they meant,

when they mentioned 'color',

Red, blues, and yellows,

greens, purples, and browns,

they'd point it out to him,

but he'd shake his head and frown,

His whole world existed,

in nothing but black and white,

there was something terribly wrong with,

his brilliant emerald eyes,

He will never know what it's like,

to see royal purple hues,

he'll never know how it feels,

to see vibrant reds and blues...

One day he met, another dragon,

his future mate-to-be,

"She's a pretty dragoness", he thought,

"much too good for me,"

But instead, she said to him,

"Please don't be so insecure,

you have the brightest emerald eyes,

your golden scales are so pure,"

From then on, Midnight Golden Green,

was finally able to see,

the bright greens and shining golds,

of his own body...
