Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems allergic to something, and every time it sneezes sparks shoot from its nose and mouth.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing. Small bolts of electricity occasionally fly off of it, zapping nearby objects.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

LightningTouch is a silent hatchling. No one has ever heard him say a single word. He only flies during heavy thunderstorms, coming so close to the lightning that he seems to touch it. The other dragons ignore him due to his lack of speech.
