When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Even though Demar's only the third or fourth oldest of the De clan, to many he is seen as the wisest out of all of them, if only for how he often keeps to himself. giving the air of a wise old hermit gifted with great knowledge from within the seas. While there is for the most part correct, the truth is...he's also a bit of a lech, as partially proven by his recent fling with Deuva the Purple dragon, who herself is rather shameless in the way she goes about doing things. And yet even now, he's still looked to by the Clan as the best place to get advice for any trouble life may offer...So long as you avoid asking him anything about love. Doing so will make Demar laugh and answer you in a way that would make a Pink dragon blush even pinker (and has, in the case of young Derosa!)
