Yellow-Crowned Dragons are found in the hottest, driest regions of the desert. Although they thrive in these conditions, they do very poorly in cold or humid climates. These dragons are very fast fliers and skilled hunters, and usually feed on small, quick desert antelope. Yellow-Crowned Dragons are diurnal, and spend the night in underground burrows they dig or steal from other creatures. They are often seen out sunning themselves in the early morning sun, waiting for the heat of the day to set in.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
This dragon leads a one-of-a-kind existence, considering that he lives in the middle of a desert. Whereas other desert dragons generally spend some of their day outside, Butterhead has not seen the sun in years. He dwells deep within the dark confines of his cave, shivering in the cold as he frantically mutters to himself. Butterhead refuses to leave the abyss of his cave because he thinks that he will melt in the sun—apparently, due to some traumatic experiences from his past, he genuinely believes his yellow head can melt like butter. Believed by most of his neighbors to be insane, he is ignored and left to suffer—except for a dear friend of his who brings him food every day and spends many hours with him, doing her best to soothe his often frenzied fits of insanity. Although even she cannot convince him of the truth, Butterhead's fragile life rests entirely in her hands—and because of her kindness, she has become the only light of the dim reality he has accepted as his fate.
