Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

His name means "First Snow" in Japanese, and he is one of the many adopted children of Kentaro and Kiyomi. He was always serious and stoic, even as a dragonet. While the other younglings would frolic and pounce upon each other, he always had his head in a book. He loves reading, and writing, and poetry. He never felt like he had time for play. Until he met Kaori. She was the silliest little dragon that he'd ever seen. The first time she met, she threw flowers at him and then bit his face! He couldn't help but laugh at the silly little creature with her muzzle wrapped around his. They started courting soon after, Hatsu just couldn't help but be attracted to her zeal for life. No one in his whole life had been able to make him laugh like she could. Their mating ceremony was a grand affair, the whole valley came to see them united. They make an odd couple, but they complete each other, and make each other whole. They are soul mates, and they wouldn't have it any other way.
