Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Zerasian had always dreamed of flying. He would just sit and look up at the sky. Unfortunately, being a Stone dragon, he can't. No matter how hard he tries, he can't. So, he just accepts that he can't fly and sits day and night at the top of a very high cliff, looking down and imagining what it must be like to fly. Long ago, he had some dragons push him up there and he didn't plan on going anywhere anytime soon. He has a little stone cave he can rest in and a nice food supply so he won't starve. Zerasian is pretty prepared for whatever comes. The others think he plans on spending his life up there, but no one knows for sure accept Zerasian.
