Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Draite is a pink dragon. Being pink, the rest of the clan thought he was a girl until he grew up. No-one thought that a pink dragon could be male. Draite sets to prove them wrong: and so far he is succeeding. He has entered in many ("manly") dragon tournaments, and has won most of them. He has shown his clan that even if someone is weak and ... 'soppy' on the outside, they can be strong on the inside. He raises his head high when he flies, and is probably the most courageous dragon in Kylobe's Clan. Like most pink dragons, he enjoys looking after the frozen hatchlings and eggs, and is known by the hatchlings as "Draite". That happens to be his name, be he is proud of it. It's a lot better than people calling you "Pinkie".

Draite begged Gnard for a friend like him, and now a pink egg waits for him.
