Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Descending from the sky on a puff of air, the egg that contained the dragon called Sylka was miraculously saved from splattering on the rocks below by a large gust of wind the rebounded and provided buoyancy to the falling egg. Once Sylka hatched, she was often mistreated by the other hatchlings and dragons for having grown with her wings. When she became a fully fledged dragon, however, she took to the skies, leaving the jealous other dragons in the dirt. Being a Skywing dragon, Sylka rarely ever descends. Her mistreatment at the hands of other dragons leads her to live a fairly lonely life, but she is content with her companions in the sky, the spirits of the winds, who bless her with an uncanny instinct for flight. Few aerial maneuvers are beyond the abilities of Sylka.
