Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
One of eight sunsong amphipteres presented to a local sorceress as part of a luck ritual, this dragon's sole duty in life was to serve as a boon to her master, imparting blessings and divine guidance with her presence. Unfortunately for the humans involved, however, her ability to grant good fortune seems to have been nothing but a wildly over hyped myth; if anything, she's a bringer of BAD luck instead! Clumsy as can be, with a knack for landing herself in bad situations, the dragon has ended up being saved by the sorceress many more times than the other way around. The mortals anguish over why this should be, over what must have gone wrong with the ceremony, but they needn't bother; good luck charm she might not be, but her high spirits and loving nature have made her a blessing to the sorceress' life all the same!
