Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

There are many who wonder how a great gray dragon of the sky and a fierce earth dragon could be bound to the same place, a place called Castle Graystone.  Its quite a simple story really.  Shalandar Gray, the loyal dragon of Castle Graystone, knew all of the history above her cavern, but little below for it was far older.  She kept her eye close on the happenings above, whilst keeping her new charge, a hatchling Lyneue Gray out of mischief.  A hard task for any dragon, when the hatching so playful.  One stormy morning Lyneue appeared playing with a dragon egg.   Shalandar in sheer panic took it from her, not realizing how close to hatching it was.  Soon Shalandar had two hatchlings to care for.  She herself named the new hatchling Calandria Gray, meaning drawn from the earth.  In time, Calandria matured, taking to the skys as all grays, a master of weather, aiding the house of Gray.  At the setting sun though she always returns to Graystone and rests at Shalandar's side.
