Radiant Angel Dragons are known for their intuition—they always seem to know when someone is feeling down, and will do what they can to provide cheer. These dragons are curious and will poke their noses into anything. They communicate with one another by making sounds similar to singing. It is said that the golden feathers shed from their whiskers can rekindle lost feelings of love.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ancientness is sometimes a quality more felt than seen. The unscrupulous eye that regards this dragon will see a beast that shows little sign of age beyond, perhaps, the greatness of his size and the warm golden fire of his gaze. Yet even the most naive feel the strength of his presence, the wisdom in his voice, the old kindness in his touch. Guardian of Arcelia, a kingdom long known for peace and gentleness, he has roamed the land since time immemorial doing good and fending off shadows. Yet some say his virtue will be his downfall; merciful beyond any reasonable expectation, even the most vile of men and monsters will receive forgiveness and no worse a punishment than imprisonment at his hands, the kindly dragon believing all souls have a chance for redemption. This altruistic behavior has led to some tension between Arcelia and its sister country of Asita, the saints of the latter proclaiming that ill will someday come of the guardian's mercy.
