Despite their great size and strength, Celestial Dragons are a peaceful breed named for their spectral, starry appearance. Little else is known about them, as they spend the vast majority of their lives partially phased out of the plane of existence through the use of powerful magic. Celestial Dragons are thought to assume their corporeal form only long enough to reproduce or to die; the rest of the time, they resemble living, breathing constellations, impervious to all physical and magical harm.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

This dragon's entire life was spent attempting to impress a male. Almost every single one turned her down until she finally found one. After a good amount of searching, the only Gold dragon around told her he would mate with her. Very happy, of course, she accepted graciously. Her brother warned her that Gold dragons can be prideful and ruthless at times, but she didn't listen. She bred with the Gold dragon and laid four beautiful eggs. Out of the four, three were her own type; however, one was the rare species of Gold dragon. Happy about what she had done, she smiled. Her mate did not smile. He roared with rage and grabbed the three Celestial eggs and threw them into the unknown. Shocked, Sorrow cried out in despair. The Gold dragon took the remaining egg away, and she never saw it again. Now, she must wait for many years in order to breed! Perhaps she'll make a better choice of mate in the future.
