Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When one looks up the word 'stubborn' in the dictionary, below the usual definitions there is a picture of a black female dragon with the name 'Nemesis Painchild' printed beside it. Nemesis has always had a stubborn personality. She hatched, gendered, and grew to adulthood late. It was as though she was determined to keep the world waiting. As an adult not much has changed. She is a loveable, but scatterbrained klutz and the other dragons have learned to duck whenever this black disaster area is anywhere nearby. Only the senior female black dragon, Black Rosebud, has any sort of control over her. It is Rosebud who watches Nemesis' eggs, ensuring they hatch properly and aren't forgotten or damaged by a mother with the attention span of a hummingbird, and she who protects Nemesis from retribution from the other dragons for acts against them committed via recklessness and thoughtlessness but with no malice. A good heart combined with a flighty brain make for a very special black girl.
