Script Dragons are named for the markings along their wings and sides that look almost like calligraphy. The patterns correspond to no known language, and are slightly different on every dragon. These dragons only develop the characteristic markings when they reach maturity, and they are fairly capable with magic once the patterns appear.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Samall is a deceptive dragon. He loves to feed lies and deceive dragons and people. He accomplishes this by masquerading as a merchant of sorts. He is skilled at getting people to carelessly give away their valuable possessions. He is never confronted about this, as those he scams are usually too nervous and fearful to confront such an unpredictable creature.
