Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

IceBlueStripe is a Blue Stripe Dragon who really loves to eat. It would be very hard to get fat on bugs, but if it was possible, IceBlueStripe would be huge. Instead, she burns up all her calories when she flies or hunts for more bugs. She has a very clever trick to gather up beetles by setting basket traps bated with rotten human food. She's also breeding some bugs in a magically walled off section of forest, IceBlueStripe had a couple Magi Dragons help set up the walls. Only she can walk through them, and insects can get in but not out; the plants in her bug pen are also magically influenced, to grow and fruit at a very quick rate so the insects can eat as much as they can. IceBlueStripe simply loves bugs, and goes to great lengths to eat as many as she can.
