Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is rather active and you find it hard to keep up with.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Ranto o saisei's egg was smaller than all of the others around her. She has been the runt of the litter ever since she was laid as an egg, but she is okay with that. She is still as playful as any of the other hatchlings in her community, if not more so. She is a brave little thing, enjoying picking on dragons bigger than her. One of her favorite things to do is play with Asobigokoro. He is the most fun of the adults that she lives with and he gives her a lot of attention despite the fact that she is a runt.

Her name means 'Playing Runt'.
