Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Zeraxia (commonly referred to as Zera) is a soft and quiet dragon, though absolutely not shy. She loves to talk to people, and if she could she'd go on and on. However, most of her time is taken up by her favorite pastime; gardening. She has spent days and nights working on perfecting her garden, located just south of the castle in a nearby meadow. There she tends to all sorts of flowers such as tulips, roses, and her most favorite of all, daisies. If the weather permits she often sleeps nestled in the flowers, her stripes becoming almost indistinguishable from the white and yellow of the daisies. Those inside the castle always have a good time flying to the florist dragon and visiting, taking in all the wonderful scents, and at the same time having a good chat.
