Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Long ago, a man bred a white and red dragon. It resulted into a pink dragon with a white dragon's eyes. Because most of the color came from the red dragon, the pink dragon carried on none of its traits. Over the years, more pink dragons have appeared. Cefivelyn had been orphaned after her previous owner took her parents to a different area. Arcait had been looking for a cave to keep the dragon eggs that had been found and happened to run across Cefivelyn's egg and decided to use the cave. Cefivelyn is the one of the youngest of the senior adults, although one of the most knowledgable. She is the forager and hunter of the clan because of her slender body's ability to slide through small spaces. Cefivelyn dreams of bearing a successor for Arinam because she cannot be leader. Tigawasin was raised by her, although he is not her kin. Cefivelyn's mate is Arinam.
