Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Day Luna, nicknamed Dala, loves to fly more than anything, especially in the daylight. She always checks her scales for scratches and dirt before going out, as to make sure she looks the best she can. She sometimes can be found playing with Night Luna, though she doesn't have much interest in his carnivorous diet and mean demeanor. When confronted by a male, Dala acts like she doesn't like them and finds better things to do. She thinks she's the best looking dragon and doesn't think a male will be able to match her. Dala wants a mate who will hunt for her and admire her shining scales and wings, though the only dragon around who seems to care as much about looks as her is Night Luna...
