Failed attempts to experiment with magic often result in transforming dragons into these hellish creatures. They are extremely dangerous, and will mindlessly kill any living creature without regard to friend or foe.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Flying Dead is technically a dead Sunstone Dragon, but was mercilessly murdered by his owner thinking he was disloyal. His owner soon realized his mistake and pleaded to the Great Dragon Spirit to bring his old friend back. The Spirit agreed, only if he promised to settle his soul. The owner did as required, and waited eagerly for his friend. But he came back as a Zombie Dragon, unable to be himself again. The two loyal creatures-human and dragon-now realize their mistakes.
