Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Having decided on only taking a mate of her own race, Ockerlady is confronted with some trouble. There are only two other ochredrakes in her vicinity, between who she can't choose. She already tried having a relationship with both, either not turning out very well. Feeling lonely, she is always happy to be visited by her friend Skye Diva, whose attitude and skills she does not envy or care for. They often talk about Ockerlady's love troubles, leading to Ockerlady's decision to maybe settle for both male ochredrakes, who have no other compatible mate to choose from. Her mind set on this, Ockerlady wishes for offspring soon, since she'd like to care for some hatchlings, but does not like the ones of other races.
