Spirit Ward Dragons are a special breed that ward off evil spirits—at least, that’s what the legends say. During nighttime festivals, people love to see these dragons, because they believe that the dragons guard against evil spirits. The dragons are dark-colored, but glow with a flame-colored internal light that has an intensity that they control.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Ravens' Shadows is a bizarre wyvern. No one knows her origin, or why she makes such fleeting visits. Throughout Valkemare she has left her legacy, some pinning her as a freak, others describing her as an eccentric traveler. A place she has seen once she will never bother to see again—she can be considered equivalent to the claim 'lightning never strikes the same place twice'.
By far her most defining feature is the ravens that follow her. So many of them they may block out the sun like locusts, harsh cawing and sound of flapping wings drowning out most anything else. No one can touch them, not one save for the very wyvern they follow. She talks to them soothingly as she strokes them under the beak, spreads out her refulgent wings to envelope the flock. When asked if she raised them, she smiles and shakes her head. They're all wild, they came to her. Dark feathers are stroked as she looks adoringly into beady eyes: 'They're waiting, very patiently.'
