Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This irritable-looking female bears a tag numbered 0002 on a pewter chain around her neck. Near to where she rests stands a tiny human-made shack. It contains only a large card catalogue, each numbered card bearing the demographic information of its corresponding dragon.

This dragon's card is somewhat water-stained. The information on the front of the card is neatly printed, but this card also seems to have a few brief notes written on the back in a rather untidy scrawl:

"Nikolei (NIH-koh-lie), Niko—CAUTION—easily irritated—resists handling. Eats slowly—sheep or goat provides distraction for 15-20 minutes."

There is a suspicious brownish-red smear along the right edge of the card.
