Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ol' Dirty Garen is a fearsome warrior and a grizzled veteran who has seen plenty of conflict in his days. No member of the cave challenges him to fight anymore, because everybody knows the inevitable outcome of pain and shame at the feet of Garen. The most experienced combatant in the cave, he is banned from most of the cave's communal sporting events, much to his disappointment. When the cave fights with any neighboring caves for whatever reason, though, Garen will lead the charge, and he'll be right there at the heart of the conflict, a beacon of light to his allies, and an ol' dirty scourge to his opponents.
