Dark green dragons, once they mature, appear to become an entirely different species. However, this isn’t true. Rather, they burrow underground and get nutrients from their vines. These vines are sometimes referred to as Dragon Grass. These dragons are very violent, and will use their vines to capture, kill, and eat anything that moves, as well as nearby plants. Luckily, their range is limited and they cannot use magic. Dark green dragons tend to be easy to spot since they usually kill all plants around them and thus are usually surrounded by a large clearing.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tiaa obtained her title of Archduchess by being one of the oldest dragons of The Group. However, instead of approaching her to ask for help as with the other old dragons, most of the other dragons avoid her. This is for two reasons; one is that she is intensely violent and will often punish dragons at random, while the other is that she is likely to go on a rant about what a disappointment her son, Head Scholar Skeo, has become. Tiaa will go on about how upset she is that Skeo does not hunt his own food and screech about how he spends all his time "reading SCROLLS of all things", disgracing his grandfather Anemoi, "a TRUE vine dragon!".  Tiaa seems to only be proud of how Skeo punches out those who get in the way of his job or his quest for knowledge. But even that doesn't  satisfy her, as when it comes to those not in his way, he attacks only the evil. She wishes he would "punch ALL THE THINGS!".

A little known fact about Tiaa is that she still loves Skeo, her "little sprouty".
