Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Urumqi Of Xinjiang is a truly troubled dragon. His former lover, Kaiju Of Copenhagen, lives in BloodClan, but he lives in SteelClan, BloodClan's enemy. Kaiju has laid his egg before, but the unborn dragon was killed by SteelClan's deputy, Judy Gold. After his best friend, Ben Of Japan tried to convince him to just forget about his dead child and lover and just attack her already, he became crueler and less trusting. He completely snapped after he saw his friend and secret crush, Armynel, being attacked by Kaiju, who he once loved. He attacked his former lover viciously, and whisked his crush to saftey. Now, he is third-in-command, Armynel is his mate, and he is in the competition to become leader of SteelClan.
