Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Soul of Mercy is the kinder and more forgiving of the Soul twins. She is quick to forgive any that have wronged her, and is quite the pacifist. She rarely—if ever—gets into scuffles with any creatures and is highly respectful towards her elders.

The Soul twins came onto Dragon Isle after being found, cold and abandoned, by Kelasia. They were raised by the hatchery staff, and they (thankfully) hatched healthy and well. The two of them have very different personalities, and Soul of Mercy is the more open and kind of the two.

Mercy is an avid collector of butterfly species, and will sometimes go on expeditions for months at a time to record and bring back new species of butterflies. When she is on Dragon Isle, she looks after her sibling and participates in ceremonies and festivals. She is a wonderful listener, and loves to help others. She is widely liked by most of Dragon Isle's community due to her sweet and helpful personality.
