Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kapaka the Daydream dragon has become notoriously known to enter dragons' dreams sifting through their personal thoughts. When she sees something she feels they could improve on, she takes control of the dream and points out their "bad habit"in an attempt to get them to change it. Dragons have become familiar with her presence when they share these 'changing' dreams, and how they often fall into daydreams and thoughts about improving themselves. The only one who doesn't seem to be bothered by Kapaka's presence is Yagete the White dragon. Rumors spread around the cave that Kapaka feels that Yagete is "perfect" so she doesn't affect him. There's even been rumors spreading that the two have shared a long-winded love for many decades. These rumors are actually true. She sometimes enters Yagete's dreams to tease him, so on nights of full moon, Yagete seeks Kapaka and they share the night alone together.
