Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

All in all, Tajeel has had a horrid life. Before her hatching time, she was abducted and bitten by the ruthless vampire dragon Baya. Her mother had made a deal with Baya that, in the end, was unmet and broken. As a punishment Baya destroyed the eggs the unfortunate female dragon had conceived. Baya left the egg to die but Tajeel made it through. When she hatched, she was without an instructor and had to stumble her way into the world on her own. Then, to her detriment, Tajeel sought her creator. When she found Baya, the sinister dragoness bound her creation to her using dark magic. Now, she is a tool Baya plans to use to destroy her creator Amhail. However, Tajeel has no intention of dying for a cause that is surely doomed. She has every intention, however, of escaping Baya and destroying the dragoness. If and when the chance arises, she will rip Baya limb from limb. All good things come to those who wait...
