Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

An extremely troubled dragon, Saiga rejects the calm and peaceful ways of his foster siblings-or at least he tries to. Agonizing over all things gone wrong, his high-strung behavior brings out the worst in his otherwise laid back family.

His cool-headed "brother," Laika, is always trying to talk reason into him and calm him down. Saiga's refusal to listen leads to a great many fights between them, increasingly more often ending up in the quicker-witted Laika blasting him. Despite that, they do share an unbreakable, if necessarily flexible bond.

Concerning Freea, Saiga's feelings are much more complicated. Once again he showcased his ability to turn things upside down, upsetting her normally calm life, drawing her into his emotionally charged and chaotic world. Ignoring protests from Laika, the two engaged in a brief and ill-fated relationship, now sharing a daughter as a result. This upset Saiga very much, but he is getting over it a little more everyday.
