Avea Pygmies are extremely active dragons known for their aptitude for flight. They will often fly for long distances and are in a constant state of migration. Avea Pygmies live in large groups for protection and they will care for each others’ young. They are herbivores and especially like fruits and berries. When dealing with other species, Avea pygmies are short-tempered and quickly take offense. After one has offended an Avea, gifts and bribes are the best way to regain trust.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

User Description

The Avis Family is a highly varied family of dragons made up of dozens of different breeds, Pygmies only being a part. Amihan's brother, Audra, is notorious for being a vicious troublemaker and prankster. Luckily, this same behavior does not rub off on Amihan, but it sadly might as well since his larger relatives treat him just the same. Amihan is on the quieter side for an Avea. He tends to avoid others and stay close to Audra and his part of a family for protection. He has a difficult time trusting anything bigger than a Mint, though he isn't quite so aggressive around them like other Avea. Amihan will typically just stay quiet around bigger dragons and refuse to answer them if they speak to him. Not that he's much more talkative with his fellow Pygmies either. Amihan feels bad for his brother and wishes he wouldn't be so brash, for his own sake. He doesn't enjoy how he has given their whole side of their family a bad reputation, resulting in all of them being treated like outcasts.
