Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Amaldea is a wanted dragon because people hunt her for her oily secretion that protects her from the sun's rays.  One freezing winter night, Xuxa heard a shriek.  She went out and found a nearly motionless Albino dragon.  Nin Yabun followed Xuxa out and helped her take the Albino dragon into the cave.  They laid her by the fire to let her warm up.  It is unusual how an Albino dragon did not migrate to warmer climates.  Their skin is so thin and sensitive to the cold.  Why she didn't go Xuxa will never know. Xuxa tried to save her and keep her warm but her body was too small compared to the dragon's.  Thankfully, Nin Yabun, Ataeki, Takken Raiden, Jexs, and Akasama saw Xuxa's attempts to save Amaldea and cuddled with her too.  She woke up and smiled.  Thanked Xuxa and introduced herself and decided to stay with her.  She is a really kind dragon.  Xuxa is glad she went out to check what that shriek was.
