Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The wounded corpse of a dragon lay before him, all life drained from its eyes and body. A dragon! His own kind! He had barely been alive for a full moon cycle, and he had already witnessed the wicked ways of humans. His own human! One that held a tender hand and cared for him as a hatchling. He couldn't allow this. He refused to see another dragon die at the blade. He'd no longer be a cheery and calm blue dragon. Now, he would assume the form of physical rage and hatred, his scales and fur turning murky and dark. He'd defend his kind from here on out, screaming in the faces of anyone who tried to harm another under his watchful eye.
