Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

BloodMoonstone is a Moonstone Dragon who wishes he was a Vampire. Though he knows that Vampire Dragons are changed in the egg, BloodMoonstone still hopes that a Vampire could bite him and turn him into the undead form he envies. He is a bit delusional, but it does keep his spirits up. BloodMoonstone even has tried to bite an egg himself, though just the once. It was pretty messy, but the egg didn't belong to anyone in his cave. So BloodMoonstone didn't get in much trouble, because no one really cared. The other dragons in his cave just sort of humor BloodMoonstone but don't give him much thought.
