Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, it has been hiding among the tree leaves.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

He-Who-Has-No-Name is an unfortunate, frozen hatchling that doesn't have a name. Raised by native dragons, this neotropical hatchling is an outsider in a strange land. Not knowing his own name and not earning a native one in the other dragons' eyes, they have taken to calling him He-Who-Has-No-Name or No-Name for short. He still feels humiliated by this and as a result keeps mostly to himself, afraid of meeting strangers because they might ask his name.

Any attempts at re-naming himself were unsuccessful because the native dragons stubbornly keep calling him by 'their' name. He has a problem deciding on a fitting name as well, made more difficult by not having any reference as to what names are typical for his race. Sometimes he longs for other dragons of his kind and as a consequence asked to be frozen, so that he might live long enough to find out where he comes from and gain a name.
