And look! It lost its fins and grew wings instead. It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Brine Princess loves to skim the sea foam as she flies. Though she is small and young, her wing power is remarkable and she can fly almost as well as adult Seawyrm pygmies. She can be restless and has to constantly be on the move, but her stubborn nature makes her very difficult to look after; she is always trying to evade her 'babysitters' and go off on adventures like the adult dragons do.
