Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
The sun was a powerful thing. Dancer didn't hate the sun; rather he respected it, or even feared it. Its golden rays of light would freeze his body no matter how hard he tried to resist it. He wanted to fly and dance in the sky all the time, but he was only allowed when the sun released its iron grip. He thought to escape, to go to a world with no sun and dance there, but he felt a need to stay. He was born here, grew up here, and sun wasn't going to chase him out. He just wished the sun didn't have such power over him. But instead of being lost in longing for something that would never happen he enjoyed what he did have. He danced and soared during the night making the most of this time of freedom. And when the sun took hold of him again he would rest until night once again banished the sun from the sky. He could live this way: it wasn't perfect, but it was enough.
