Failed attempts to experiment with magic often result in transforming dragons into these hellish creatures. They are extremely dangerous, and will mindlessly kill any living creature without regard to friend or foe.

Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The red-scaled dragons screeched. This was not fair. No, he HAD to escape! His stomach tightened in fear, confusion, and... hunger. He wouldn't move, he couldn't. His cries rang about the fog, the white static he'd grown up with. Pictures flashed by his eyes, his parents, a Gold and Royal Crimson gazing at him fondly; the flashing runes, glowing brighter with each word the human speaks. And, the haze settling in. He was suffocated, yet still alive. But baby dragons cannot live without food or water any longer than a week, his gut was slowly being ripped apart. By himself; his hunger could not be contained. The fog was lifted, along with his body. Limp and useless. A murmuring of soft, yet powerful words, were spoken upon his corpse. He... no, Slighted Scales, was back again.
