Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

"Ombra Di Morte" is Italian for "Shadow of Death". Ombra was named after a quote; It also describes her place in the clan. If you can pass into the clan's "valley", you probably have nothing to fear. She guards the boundaries of the clan's territory, making sure that anyone getting near is only of good intentions. If not, she will attack, unless told otherwise by either Balac, a shield dragon, or the Mistress.

Ombra Di Morte is active at night, like most of her species, and her glowing green eyes are spooky in the darkness of the forest. Though quiet, she has a roar that can be heard miles away. Her horns are usually kept sharp, and she will lower her head, aiming them, as a warning, whenever angered. Her mate, Pliadeas, is very flirtatious, so she often has to keep a watchful and wary eye on his goings-on.
