Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aurelius is Fabrizia's assistant, a wizard at crystalline applications. His broad expertise allows him to create both crystalline-imbued potions as well as tools powered off of the fossilized magic. The alchemist-engineer aids Fabrizia greatly, as he also shares her passion for utilizing their powers for protection rather than greedy gain.

In his off time, he associates with the young ones at the orphanage. To those who inquire, he teaches basic crystal theory so that they may further their talents there. He also enjoys guiding Fabrizia's adopted child, Kenna, and her biological child, Caelius. He believes that fate has chosen them to obtain peace in the future when the barriers fall and all cultures must bear witness to what has occurred over the last thousand years. For now, he helps with preparations.
