Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Blackely, who was once the most beautiful black dragon in her tribe. One used to say her eyes glowed like emerald and her scales shone like black pearls. No one would have thought that she would become a hellish creature or a precisely saying, a living dead. Despite her beauty, Blackely was cursed by the fate she was born into. The ancient curse that passed on in her family had showed no mercy to her. She became ill and kept getting worse day after day. Her eyes glowed no more and her scales finally faded. One day, an old wizard came and said to her, "My child, your time has come. But afraid not, I shall revive your life with my magic." Blackely nodded, then she closed her eyes slowly and her painful life had finally come to an end. The old wizard spelled his magic words, but something went wrong during the reviving process or perhaps the curse could not be dispelled even after her death, Blackely turned into a fearful zombie and will kill any creature that walks into her.
