Water Walkers are small dragons that are frequently found around bogs and ponds. While they are flightless, they retain the flight sacs and hollow bones of their airborne cousins. These traits, coupled with their extraordinarily long, webbed toes, allow them to stand on top of calm waters, using their small sails to propel them wherever they please. They spend the majority of their lives on the water, retreating to the tops of lily pads when the waters become too rough to float atop.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

On Halloween, the dragons' caretakers all went into a trance and began to slaughter the dragons they so cared for and loved. The caretakers acted like zombies to the point where the dragons thought they were as such and fled. Survivor, however, stayed behind to help the evacuation. He didn't stay long though for his caretaker began to shamble after him. Not wanting to hurt his caretaker, Survivor tried to gently bat him away, but the knife went into his tail. Bleeding profusely, Survivor took to the water and fled heartbroken. A week later, he dared to sneak back to his caretaker to see if all was well. Not the most stealthy of creatures, his caretaker spotted him. Crying with delight the caretaker ran to Survivor, but Survivor stepped back. Realizing what the problem was, the caretaker explained the trance and its cause. Survivor contemplated then ran to his caretaker in joy. Sadly, some dragons weren't as lucky as he was and did not survive the 'Caretaker Apocalypse'...
