When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

True WaterLily (a.k.a. WaterLily) does not live with hello2u. While most of hello2u's other dragons are with hello2u's scroll, WaterLily is off at a lake deep in the cave. At first, the young WaterLily lived in a small puddle built by hello2u. However, once WaterLily matured, it was evident a larger body of water was needed, so WaterLily moved to the large lake in the cave. Now whenever hello2u or another dragon wants to see WaterLily, all they need to do is go to the edge of the lake, look for WaterLily's name written in the sand, and wait.

The lake is very large, and is shared with other water dragons, for light, the roof of the cave has a large hole which lets sunlight in. Coincidentally, this also lets SkyScales visit WaterLily whenever he wishes.
