Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The cavemates of Monomi Dorkface were rather amazed when she showed up. First, she hatches as an alternate Black Dragon, then it's learned that she's a Dorkface, making her related to Q, the local naive Shallow Water Dragon. Because of this, she's somewhat stuck-up, vain, and a lover of attention. You will virtually never hear her admit to being wrong, and if she is, she will storm off in a very bad temper. This leads to a multitude of arguments with, say, Riku, and a lot of pranks (because of potential accidents where it's not the intended dragon falling victim to the prank, though, that and collateral damage also leads to a lot of prank wars). Monomi isn't always completely self-centered, though, and does have a softer side—good luck finding it, though.
